GBTA Asia forms a recently launched part of GBTA’s wider Asia-Pacific activities. GBTA Australia/New Zealand forms the other AsiaPac region for GBTA.
GBTA Asia is a buyer led network of individuals and chapter elements organized for the professional Asia business travel and meetings community and an arm of its parent organization, the Global Business Travel Association. Its membership is comprised of a broad representation of business travel and meetings interests in the region.
The intent of GBTA Asia is to provide opportunities for both buyers and suppliers of business travel and meetings management to improve their individual managerial skills, act as a proactive resource repository of business travel knowledge, provide top of the line events encompassing leading educational offerings, create and deliver compelling industry research and promote networking opportunities for business travel professionals in the region. These goals are to be accomplished through development of a dynamic membership base encouraging volunteerism to activate GBTA Asia’s leadership structure and education programs, leading to career advancement for the membership.
Education will be directed through GBTA’s Academy encompassing classes leading towards an industry-wide certification. Education will be offered in person as well as through electronic means.
