GBTA Government Relations:
The Collective Voice of the U.S. Business Travel Industry
Business travel spending grows the economy
and creates jobs…government policies make a difference.
In 2011, U.S. business travel spend reached $250 billion,
with a global business travel spend of $1 trillion.
GBTA’s 5000-plus members represent the global travel industry
and more than 30 million travelers around the globe.
What We Do:
Government Relations advocates public policies that benefit the business travel industry, buyers and suppliers. Along with GBTA members across the country, we educate members of Congress, their staffs and agency officials about:
- how business travel stimulates economic and jobs growth
- critical government policies
- value of smart travel spending in the private sector and government
How You Can Help:
Get involved! Government representatives need to hear from you - their constituents - about policies and regulations that facilitate rather than impede business travel. From increasing risk-based passenger screening to modernizing the air traffic control system to expanding access to the U.S. through the Visa Waiver Program, your representatives need to know that their actions matter to you. NBTAPAC:
The NBTAPAC is the only federal political action committee that represents the interests of the entire business travel community.
