GBTA's volunteer committees, councils and task forces provide an opportunity for GBTA members to work in areas of special interest. They are advisory in nature and work on special projects which segment the Association's operations. These committees offer GBTA members opportunities to contribute to their growth as business travel professionals. As GBTA, a new interconnection will allow for global guidance and information sharing.
The globalization of the organization and its committees is an ongoing process. And with our committee structure at the heart of GBTA, bringing global perspective to these committees is key. All committees are beginning the evolution to include representatives of all GBTA regions worldwide. If you’re a member of a GBTA region or you know someone who is and may be interested in a committee, please submit an application below.
One exciting global initiative already underway is the partnering of the CSR Committee and the ICARUS Advisory Board (a GBTA Europe CSR Project Committee) to create a more seamless approach to CSR issues. With leadership from the GBTA European Head of Sustainability, Bernard Harrop, and the head of the GBTA U.S. CSR committee, Robert Wade, the combined project group now includes representatives from five countries.
Already active on the ICARUS Advisory Board are the following country associations with their corporate & supplier representatives:
UK – PwC, Barclays Bank, SAS Business Analytics, E.ON, JMP (Environment Consultants), Cranfield University, WWF (World Wildlife Fund), AEF (Aviation Environment Federation), CWT (Carlson Wagonlit Travel), The Carbon Consultancy, Key Travel, Robertson Cooper (Well-being / duty of care specialists)
