NBTA 2010 CSR Award - Guidelines, Rules, and Timelines

Initiative must be related to what the applicant has accomplished/implemented as it relates to managed travel or travel services and have taken place (either in part or in full) between 01/01/09 and 12/31/09. Some of the work must have occurred during this period, but not necessarily completed during this period, and is sustainable.

Open to all NBTA member buyer (direct) and supplier (allied) companies worldwide.

Applications must be submitted no later than April 19, 2010 in order to be considered for the current award. NOTE: Application submission deadline extended until April 26, 2010.

All members, Direct or Allied, may nominate their company for consideration and the award will be made to one Direct and one Allied company with acknowledgement to the member and any other individuals directly related to the initiative. A member may list up to five different CSR initiatives for consideration on their submission but limited to a single submission per company. Evaluation of the initiative will be based on the uniqueness and strength of the initiative, the nature of the project and its relationship to the CSR mission and the impact on the company and its environment as it relates to managed travel and/or travel services. Entries will be reviewed by the CSR Selection Committee and finalists will be selected.

Finalists will be interviewed by telephone and must be available during the 4th week of May 2010. Final selection will be made and winners notified by June 10, 2010, with the award presentation to take place during NBTA’s 2010 Convention in Houston, TX during the week of August 8-11, 2010. Winners should be prepared to work with the NBTA CSR Committee to present their winning stories during the Education Sessions at Convention. Date and times to be determined.
