The NBTA International Convention & Expo is the Business Travel Event of the Year drawing more than 5,600 business travel professionals from over 46 countries.    

 

SHARE YOUR STORY The Convention program is designed to feature best and next practices in the business travel management field.  Our highest-rated presenters are people like you who have challenged conventional wisdom and/or are willing to share real lessons learned.

Target Audience

Convention attendees include corporate travel managers, consultants and industry suppliers from the airline, hotel, car, card, agency, and travel technology communities. Audience size per education session ranges from 50 to 500 participants.  The Travel Manager representation includes a large mid-market segment (<$25 M total T&E).  Please note it also consists of both new and seasoned (10+ years in industry) professionals.

 

 

Selection Criteria

Your presentation proposal will be judged on:

 

1. Content

  • Are the ideas presented new and forward thinking?
  • Are the concepts introduced useful and practical?

 

2. Format

  • Are there opportunities for interaction among and between participants?
  • Is the scope appropriate to time limitations?
  • Is the instructional design creative?

 

3. Presenter(s)

  • Is there a demonstrated knowledge of the subject matter?
  • Is there an indication of strong and creative presentation skills?

 

Details You Need to Know

  • Convention breakout sessions are generally 75 minutes in duration.
  • Sessions will be scheduled Monday, August 8th through Wednesday, August 11th.  Please do not submit a proposal unless you will be able to appear on any day.
  • Sales pitches for products or services disguised as proposals will not be accepted.  Presenters may not distribute/display commercial and/or marketing materials about specific products or companies.
  • The Call for Presentation deadline is February 1, 2010.   Acceptance notices will be issued after April 1, 2010.
  • NOTE: Panel discussions are most effective when limited to no more than 3 participants.
  • All presenters must register.  Confirmation letters, including registration instructions and applicable fees are issued individually to presenters by NBTA.  All presenters receive complimentary registration for the day of their presentation.  Should presenters wish to attend the entire Convention, the speaker rate is 50% off of early bird registration rate.
  • All travel expenses and any additional fees are the responsibility of the presenter(s) unless agreed to and arranged in advance with NBTA.
