Mike Kabo Scholarship

The GBTA Foundation, in conjunction with the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), has created this scholarship in honor and memory of Mike Kabo, a good friend and leader in the business travel industry.

Mike led change and progress in the travel industry for nearly 30 years.  His passion for education and global perspective were the impetus behind the GBTA Global Travel Managers Exchange Forum.  Mike’s industry contributions and accomplishments were many, including Chair, GBTA Hotel Committee; GBTA Board Member; Deputy Chair, IBTA Hotel Committee; and recipient of the 2001 GBTA President’s Award.  In addition, Mike served on a number of industry advisory boards and was a frequent speaker at industry events.

The Foundation and GBTA have developed this scholarship to continue Mike’s vision of, in his words, “a global voice of business travel.”  The Mike Kabo Global Scholarship will provide one individual with the opportunity to attend a two-day Global Leadership Program (GLP) session at the GBTA Convention in Boston, MA.
