Live Webcast Available to Remote Attendees
Alexandria, VA (April 21, 2011)—The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA)—the voice of the global business travel industry—today announced the inaugural GovTravDC 2011, a new event designed for both government and business travel professionals who are committed to smarter travel management. GovTravDC will be held June 1, 2011 at the George Washington University Cafritz Conference Center and will also be available via the GovTravDC Live Webcast
“This event is a first of its kind and offers tailored information and resources to this unique sector in travel management. It’s sure to bring together the best in the business and boost awareness of the new strategies and resources available to government travel professionals,” said Michael W. McCormick, executive director and COO, GBTA. “GBTA is always focused on providing the most value to our members and we are excited to continue to do so with the launch of this marquee event.”
The new event will bring together government and business travel professionals for high-level education and discussion on demand management and sustainability initiatives within the travel management industry. The event will showcase the latest information, innovations and insights on metrics and reporting to meet higher performance results. Key topics to be covered include the future of government travel, the importance of leveraging data and metrics to drive better business outcomes and managing travel spend.
Also for the first time ever, GBTA will offer a Live Webcast of GovTravDC at a cost of $149 for attendees unable to attend in person. Those that take part in the Live Webcast will receive access to a full day of content that will include viewing all sessions live, with the ability to replay at a later date in an on-demand viewing style.
