How Changes in Airline Distribution Will Impact Your Travel Program

This webinar has been cancelled and will be resecheduled at a later date.

According to research conducted by the GBTA Foundation and the Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) earlier this year, more than 71 percent of TMC respondents have discussed the future of airline distribution and how future content will be delivered to travelers. These conversations have primarily centered on leveraging direct connections and APIs between airlines and TMCs or leveraging New Distribution Capabilities (NDC) via a GDS or – to a lesser degree – an aggregator.

As a travel manager, you may be tempted to take a step back and wait for the rapidly evolving airline distribution landscape to work itself out. However, it is important to understand how these discussions and changes will ultimately affect your travel program and its travelers. This webinar will outline the current status of airline distribution, the changes it's currently undergoing and what a future model (or models) may actually look like.

Attendees will hear from representatives of two TMCs on how changes in distribution are affecting their operations, how these changes will impact their clients and how travel managers can better plan ahead. Come prepared with your questions, as this webinar provides a unique opportunity to get answers in real time from those closest to this issue.

At the end of the session, participants should be able to:

  • Understand how NDC and other new distribution methods are being executed
  • Learn how different executions will impact the travel manager
  • Discover what questions to ask your TMC and preferred suppliers about planned changes in their distribution
