GBTA Honors Véra Strezyk With Luoma Award

BERLIN (5 December 2018) – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) – the voice of the global business travel industry – honored Véra Strezyk, Category Buyer Travel & MICE for CHANEL, with the prestigious Luoma Award. The award was announced during last week’s GBTA Conference 2018 Berlin in partnership with VDR.

“Véra has been pivotal to the ongoing success of GBTA in France,” said Catherine McGavock, Regional Vice President – EMEA, GBTA. “Under her leadership the chapter has truly thrived.”

Strezyk led the launch of the first GBTA France Masterclass and continues to be a core contributor to GBTA as a member of the Meetings Committee. She previously served as the chapter president of GBTA France for three years.

GBTA established the Luoma Award in 2011 in honor of Jutta Luoma, the Executive Director of the Finnish Business Travel Association. The Award recognizes a volunteer who supports the development of GBTA and its local market partners in Europe. That person works in the best interests of GBTA members in Europe and the business travel industry. The individual is independent-minded, willing to raise new ideas within the sector both publicly and privately, and effective in providing direction for European travel and meetings management.
