A well-educated voter is paramount to the success of governments and organizations.
GBTA will hold its virtual Annual Business Meeting and Candidate Forum. This is your chance to gain insights on important GBTA business and especially to hear directly from the candidates running for three available Board seats.
Meeting topics will include:
- Annual Report: As required by New York Not-for-Profit Corporation Law Section 519, all GBTA members will be presented with an annual report for the year 2021 from the GBTA Board of Directors
- GBTA Board of Directors Candidate/Election Forum: Candidates for the open GBTA Board of Directors positions will participate and present their platform statements and why they deserve GBTA members’ votes. You can view the candidates here.
For the GBTA Board of Directors, the following seats are up for election in 2022.
- Two (2) At Large Director Direct seats for a term of two (2) years
- One (1) At Large Director Allied seat for a term of two (2) years.
Online voting will open Tuesday, July 26 and will close Monday, August 15 at 5:00 PM EST.
The 2022 elections will be conducted online through a third-party service. All current dues paying GBTA Allied and Direct members will receive a personalized email with a voting link.
Results of the election will be announced on Tuesday, August 16 at the 2022 GBTA Annual Convention. Active GBTA members (Direct and Allied) are eligible to vote on all elected positions.
Other Business: Members may transact such other business as may properly come before the meeting.
