The Tech Safari Series showcases new technologies launching cutting-edge solutions In this edition, we focus on startups providing solutions to corporations to help them meet sustainability targets across their travel spend.
Emburse, Thrust Carbon, and Cloverly, identified and vetted by the GBTA Technology Committee, will reveal their new product and/or solution. Panel members will question the technology’s usability in corporate travel, explore the product’s availability, and identify the audience(s) that will benefit from its use.

Jeroen van Velzen joined Emburse in 2021 when it acquired Roadmap, a leading mobile-based travel technology company he co-founded. As SVP, Solutions Strategy, Jeroen is responsible for delivering a superior end-to-end travel experience for customers, overseeing the company’s Travel & Mobility Solutions group.
A winner of BTN 2015 Innovator Award, Tech.eu “hottest startups” in 2017 and a Skift’s Corporate Travel innovator in 2019, Roadmap was Jeroen's third consecutive venture and combined his passion for travel and building human-centric organizations.
Before starting Roadmap, Jeroen was CEO of Sound of Data, which created customer happiness solutions for the customer care, travel and broadcasting industries until a successful exit in 2015. He previously served as CCO and co-founder of mobile payment and sales platform, Mobile2Pay.
Jeroen holds a Master’s degree in Economics, Marketing Management and Information Management from the University of Amsterdam

As Head of Partnerships for Thrust Carbon, Glenn is focused on driving increased transparency and collaboration across multiple categories to enable even more detailed reporting and capabilities where sustainability metrics are concerned.
Glenn’s passion and goal for the industry is to leverage comprehensive emissions intelligence to make the lowest logical emission a reality for travellers and programme owners.
Cloverly delivers a Sustainability-as-a-Service platform that connects the carbon offset infrastructure to businesses, consumers, and organizations using real-time calculations powered by the Cloverly API. They specialize in helping companies neutralize their carbon footprint and go green with a variety of Renewable Energy Credits and offset projects, such as reforestation, solar and wind farms, greenhouse gas capture, and more.

Jason is the CEO of Cloverly, a Sustainability-as-a-Service company that helps businesses estimate and offset carbon emissions from digital transactions such as flights, hotels, rental cars, ecommerce deliveries, credit card transactions, and more.
Prior to Cloverly, Jason was an Entrepreneur-In-Residence (EIR) with Engage Ventures and a consultant and advisor to various startups. Jason was previously the CEO of Ally Commerce, an ecommerce software company that was recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in America for several years in a row. Before Ally Commerce, Jason was the General Manager for two of eBay's emerging businesses.
Prior to that, Jason spent seven years as a generalist in management consulting for companies such as Expedia and Microsoft. Jason started at Accenture, a global management consulting firm, and finished at Revel Consulting, which was the fastest growing consulting firm in the country. Jason obtained his MBA at the Kellogg School of Management and his BBA at Pacific Lutheran University (PLU).
