The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was passed in 2016 to better harmonize and protect the data privacy of European citizens. With the deadline looming on May 25th, many U.S. organizations with European business are still struggling to understand exactly how GDPR affects them, and what they can do to be compliant with the new regulation. The current research from GBTA utilizes a mixed methodology approach to examine the challenges and changes U.S. organizations are facing in anticipation of the GDPR deadline. Throughout this webinar, attendees will be able to learn from and engage with others to better understand the state of the travel industry in a pre-, and soon to be post-, GDPR world.

At the end of the session, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the basics of GDPR
  • Identify key areas of concern regarding GDPR preparation
  • Learn best practices for being GDPR compliant
