Disruption costs the industry an estimated 60 Billion dollars each year, but many travel managers have just accepted it as unavoidable. However, some exciting changes are coming to the industry. Leading airlines are beginning to acknowledge the cost of disruptions and include performance guarantees in their corporate contracts. New tools and systems are appearing to help travel managers quantify disruption, and help travelers mitigate and anticipate disruptions. In this presentation, our speaker will share some invaluable insight into the nature and cost of disruption, as well as some of the challenges and opportunities for managing disruption to both reduce costs and improve traveler satisfaction.
