Booking Tools & Technologies - Philadelphia Chapter

June 13, 2019
Plymouth Meeting, PA

80% of trips are completed by 20% of travelers. Those 20% are the frequent modern business travelers. The majority of online booking tools and user experiences across the platforms are built for the frequent business travelers wants and needs, leaving infrequent travelers in the dust in terms of a user experience that fits their needs. This can impact adoption of online booking tools which in turn impacts travel program compliance.

Bottom line: one size does not fit all when it comes to online booking technologies and tools. But do travel managers feel the same way? What is the consensus in terms of what qualifies a traveler as “frequent.”

This is a presentation based on recent survey data analyzing traveler behavior and attitudes towards online (and other) booking experiences. The data from the survey sheds light on the extent to which there should (or should not) be a “one-size-fits-all” approach to OBT deployment.
