GBTA Canada Town Hall Calls
Date & Time
Wednesday, September 23, 2020 | 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM ET
This week’s GBTA Canada Town Hall will focus on building traveler confidence and the current Canadian public health status related to Covid-19 and business travel. Joining us from Public Health Agency of Canada, Dr. Barbara Raymond, Executive Medical Advisor, Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Branch, and Anthony Hahn, A/Director, Centre for Biosecurity, will address the federal government’s approach to Covid-19, including testing, infection rates, and trends, vaccines and therapeutics, all essential to understanding how the fall is expected to shape up. We will then hear from Andy Margolis, Director of Airport Operations, Vancouver Airport Authority, and Greg Owen, Associate Director, Government Agency, Toronto Pearson International Airport, who will provide the latest details on the Canadian airport rapid testing pilot project that is underway at points of departure and arrival. They will outline what this project entails, how it is intended to protect and benefit the movement of passengers safely, and how this process can help secure the future of business travel.
This GBTA Canada Town Hall is made possible by Rocketrip. Liam Moroney, VP of Marketing for Rocketrip will also join our call to emphasize the importance of building business traveler confidence.
