As the Canadian Regional Chair for GBTA Canada, I’ve been thrilled to be involved the past 2 years of our Regional Direct Talk Buyer Groups. As a travel buyer, I can attest to the value of these peer groups. When we bring together buyers from a cross section of companies, size and scope of programs, it stimulates valuable dialog and sharing of best practices. This is the secret sauce to our GBTA Canada Regional Direct Talk Groups. I certainly encourage our Direct Members to take advantage of this Canadian Member benefit in 2019. For those who aren’t members, know that the opportunity to engage with your peers across Canada is truly valuable. Often, travel buyers have a unique area of knowledge within their companies, an area often not shared by other internal colleagues. The quarterly Regional Direct Talk Call allow travel buyers to connect with like-minded buyers, to ask questions and share solutions to the specific challenges facing travel buyers.
