Addressing the Future of Business Travel

With the emergence of business travel management as a strategic corporate function, business travel and its components are responsible for key missions throughout the entire corporate structure, contributing value to all elements of a company's productivity and financial performance. With factors including rapidly changing technology, consolidation, mergers, e-commerce and globalization -- travel professionals are facing challenges never before faced.

 

As the economy forces corporations to conduct business with greater efficiency, a heavier emphasis has been placed on business travel and its management, and the need to assure its quality, support productivity and achieve cost avoidance. Managing in this changing culture is critical to the success of corporate travel professionals. In order to provide the necessary framework and tools to meet these challenges, the Global Business Travel Association created the GBTA Foundation.

 

The GBTA Foundation is supported by more than fifty corporate donors, as well as hundreds of individual donors from corporate travel management. Corporate donors include suppliers, as well as direct member companies, who have seen how the Foundation is benefiting the industry as a whole.

 

The GBTA Foundation provides the business travel industry with timely and accurate research, scholarships and top-notch educational programs.
