This one-day summit provides education in travel logistics, risk management, mobility issues, and technology solutions and is ideal for specialized buyers and suppliers in the sports, entertainment, emergency management, energy, project, and consultancy sectors. This must-attend, interactive event will showcase best practices in managing unique traveler journeys; connect buyers of non-traditional travel services and innovative supplier partners; and uncover new ways to navigate travel in a fragmented ecosystem.

This full-day program will be hosted in a collaborative incubator format beginning with the opening buyer panel, Different Industries - Common Challenges and Opportunities. Each session will begin with a brief presentation followed by a peer-to-peer discussion, followed by full group discussions to review the common challenges and potential solutions across industries.

The outcomes will be consolidated and provided to attendees as a resource document capturing ideas, best practices and innovations as discussed during the Project, Crew and Team Travel Summit.

Sourcing

Identify sourcing and contracting best practices, challenges and opportunities for the air, accommodations and ground transportation vendors. Discussion topics will include:

  • Accommodations: wide range of housing types, sourcing platforms, best practices for tracking of accurate information, management of the logistics of rotations or repeat pattern stays (based on traveler needs, duration, and amenities).
  • Air Transportation: management of group movements vs. individual flights on a variety of carriers (commercial to private), integration of these transports into complex itineraries, specialized bookings requiring specialized 24/7support, accurate tracking and reporting while dealing with disruptions, delays, changes, specialized baggage/cargo, etc.
  • Ground Transportation: best practices in controlling and integrating ground transportation into travelers’ itineraries, software options to manage bookings, tracking insurance, consolidate movements, and optimize shuttle or car service transfers for your traveler or rental car options.

With multiple sources of technology, not only can the booking process be complex, it also does not always intuitively integrate with your company’s needs.  Identify when and how to seek tools and platforms that can consolidate data sources, integrate off-line bookings (commercial, charter, private), enable data mapping (connecting the dots), in-channel booking (manifest to GDS to ISOS), produce single source itineraries, etc.

Cancellation Policy
  • All cancellation requests must be made in writing to GBTA at eventsupport@gbta.org.  
  • Cancellations are accepted until April 11, 2022.
  • A full refund less a $75 administrative fee will be given for cancellations.
  • No refunds will be given after April 11, 2022.
  • There are no refunds for "no shows.”
  • Refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment.
Substitution Policy
  • A GBTA attendee may transfer his/her registration to another eligible party if he/she is unable to attend. 
  • All substitution requests must be made in writing to GBTA at eventsupport@gbta.org and handled on the backend of the registration system.
  • The substitute is responsible for any and all financial arrangements between the original registrant and the substitute.

By registering for the event, you agree to comply with all Terms and Conditions, such as but not limited to standards of behavior and health and safety as directed by state/local laws. GBTA has the right to refuse admittance into any event as we take security and health factors into consideration.

  • Vaccination or Negative Test Required - GBTA requires all attendees to present proof of vaccination OR a negative Covid-19 test taken within 48 hours prior to entry into the event. All types of Covid-19 tests will be acceptable (including at home tests). The required proof can be submitted prior to arrival using this form. If you do not wish to use the form you must bring your proof onsite to be verified at the registration desk to get your badge.
  • Masks Optional but Encouraged - Wearing a mask is a personal choice and we ask that everyone makes their choice responsibly. All attendees should be mindful and respectful of other attendees' health choices.

GBTA may update any Covid-19 requirements, as required by local laws/restrictions, no later than 3 days prior to the event. Attendees will be notified of any changes and will be sent instructions. GBTA expects all attendees to comply with these elevated protocols throughout the event. Should an attendee be found violating protocols multiple times, GBTA will ask the attendee to leave the event at which point the attendee will not be allowed to return and their event registration will be cancelled.
