GBTA Unveils Inaugural Masters Honors Recognition Program Honorees

Innovative Program Recognizes Commitment of Business Travel Leaders Who Are Driving the Industry Forward

Alexandria, VA (February 3, 2016) – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), the voice of the global business travel industry, today unveiled its inaugural Masters Honors awards, recognizing the leadership of the most engaged travel management professionals in the business travel industry.

The awards honor GBTA Direct members who are the most engaged in moving the industry forward. The list of The Masters Honors winners for 2016 can be found here.

“The business travel industry is in a period of significant change, and these honorees are the ones driving the industry forward,” said Christle Johnson, GBTA President. “They’re not just ahead of the curve, they’re traveling on unpaved roads. The honorees are experts in duty of care, supplier management, technology, sustainability and other areas. Honorees come from around the globe and work in a wide range of industries, including technology, manufacturing, finance and banking, healthcare, consulting, energy and resources and retail.

“These honorees are movers, shakers, opinion leaders, and passionate advocates. They are tirelessly driven to create, build and innovate,” added Johnson.

The Masters Honors awards will be presented at The Masters Honors Summit & Gala on April 10-11, 2016, at the Trump National Doral® in Miami, Fla. The event includes a full-day of educational workshops and networking events concluding with the annual GBTA Foundation Gala.
