In mid-January, the first cases of the new coronavirus began to be reported. The virus was first detected in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China and has continued to spread quickly across the globe. Since then there have been mandatory quarantines, canceled airline flights, and serious effects on the global financial markets.

Alexandria, VA (November 21, 2019)— Sustainability is a hot topic, but it is one that has not translated into the overall corporate travel program, according to new research out today from the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) in partnership with SAP Concur. With more emphasis expected on sourcing with sustainable suppliers in the coming years, this is yet to be rendered into the overall travel policy with one-third (33 percent) of travel managers saying that they either mandate (6 percent) or encourage (27 percent) travelers to book with suppliers using sustainable practices.

Alexandria, VA (November 20, 2019)—Travel managers widely collaborate with their corporate stakeholders, according to research out today from the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), in partnership with BCD Travel. Most travel managers work together with stakeholders from finance/accounting (79 percent), human resources (66 percent), security/risk management (63 percent), C-level (61 percent), and legal/compliance (59 percent).
