The largest, most comprehensive annual gathering of business travel and meetings managers, meeting planners, procurement professionals and suppliers in the world, next year’s Convention will be held in Boston, July 15-19, 2017.

Four of Five Business Travellers Report Company Travel Policy Has Greatest Impact on Booking Decisions

Frankfurt, Germany (15 November 2016) – Four out of five (79 percent) business travellers report their company’s travel policy has the greatest impact on their decision when booking travel for work, ahead of convenience (71 percent) and cost (70 percent), according to a new report out today from the GBTA Foundation in partnership with HRS. Flexible change (58 percent) and cancellation (56 percent) policies are also important, and one-half say automated expense reporting (52 percent) and membership in a loyalty or rewards program (50 percent) play a large role as well.

Alexandria, VA (September 7, 2016) – Business travelers commonly use hotel apps according to a new study released today by the GBTA Foundation, the education and research arm of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), in partnership with Best Western Hotels & Resorts. Three of five (61 percent) business travelers have downloaded at least one of the seven major hotel chains’ apps on their smartphone in the past year, with more than half of those travelers (54 percent) having at least two and one-quarter (25 percent) downloading at least three.
