Bob Costas fará a palestra na Convenção GBTA 2019

Alexandria, VA (April 11, 2019) – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), the voice of the global business travel industry, today announced award-winning sportscaster, broadcaster, and best selling-author Bob Costas as its first featured speaker at Convenção GBTA 2019, held August 3-7 in Chicago. Costas’ keynote address will take place at the Convention Arena Luncheon on Monday, August 5.

“We are very pleased to welcome Bob Costas to the stage at GBTA Convention 2019,” said Christle Johnson, GBTA president. “For over 40 years, Bob has been one of the most recognizable voices in broadcasting and will provide our attendees with poignant and insightful takeaways that he has left audiences with for decades.”

From the Baseball Game of the Week in the 1980s, through his hosting of the Olympics, the late-night interview program Later with Bob Costas, his programs on HBO and more, Bob Costas has been a prominent part of the coverage of every major sport over the past three decades. His thoughtful commentaries on a variety of issues have established him as one of his generation’s most distinctive voices.

Costas has won 28 Emmy awards – more than any sports broadcaster. His versatility has been recognized with awards and nominations in the categories of hosting, play-by-play, writing, journalism, news and entertainment. He is the only person ever to have won Emmy’s in news, sports and entertainment. His peers have named him the “National Sportscaster of the Year” a record eight times, and in 2012, he was elected to the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Hall of Fame. He is also one of only two sports broadcasters to be honored with the Walter Cronkite Award for distinction in journalism.
