Declaração da plataforma

I am very honored to be a nominee for a Director at Large seat on the GBTA Board, to partner and learn from some of the best and brightest in the GBTA family and to hopefully share my vision, and our combined vision, for the future of our Industry.

My background is completely Travel – I started in Airline, then TMC, then Travel Management. I have taken many differing Industry roles, which gives me a unique perspective as a Travel Manager and the challenges and opportunities we all face on a daily basis.

Creating, implementing, and running travel programs for some amazing companies such as The Coca-Cola Company, Zurich Insurance, Liberty Global, and the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). At the FCDO I implemented a global solution under one single TMC for 198 countries.

I say that I am like a Plumber – I have one trade, but I know it really well!

I have a clear passion for Corporate Travel, and regardless of the challenges faced my commitment and passion has never wavered.

It is such an exciting Industry, and the true joy I feel is one that I am keen to share with you.

My Goals and Vision

We talk about goals and visions for this role – I have many (don’t we all!)

Of those, one key goal of mine is to be a voice for you – regardless of where you live, of your Company or of the challenges you face and to share and celebrate your successes. To be the person that you can trust and that you can call on for advice.

I want to use my experience to create opportunities and to find answers in partnership – being in this together.

I have had the most fun and great challenges with the travel programs that I have created and in the partnerships that have been forged.

One clear strength of mine is Change Management – I have truly had tremendous successes in creating and implementing travel programs with global challenges.

I relish the tough conversations with C-Suites, with Finance Directors, with EAs, with Travellers – the fact finding, the deep discussions.

Its easy to find people to agree with your idea, but hey, give me the people that don’t want it or are not happy with change! They helped me create the success that I have seen in my career. I wouldn’t be without them.

Not every challenge has to be complex, but there is certainly excitement in bringing these programs into life.

I hope to help you navigate difficult conversations, and that is another goal of mine – whether I am successful or not, keep me in mind when you have any question on Corporate Travel.

As a third vision, I want to help encourage new voices onto the GBTA platform – to be that Mentor to any GBTA member who would wish to further serve with our GBTA Family.

I spent a lot of time on various panels and discussions – they have been so enjoyable (and nerve-wracking at times!) but are a wonderful way to be involved.

Let’s get as many people as possible to hear your voice, your vision, your goals – There is so much support within the GBTA that you know you will never feel nervous about raising your point of view.

What next for you?

So, why should I earn your nomination? There are great candidates this year (me included!).

We are all worthy of your support, so it’s a win-win for you and the GBTA, regardless.

My passion, my drive, my desire for this Industry is evident in everything I do. It is clear that I have a deep love and understanding of Travel.

My promise to you is that if I am successful, I will be that voice and advocate for you and for the challenges and opportunities that await you.

I know so well these challenges that we are facing, but these are also opportunities and I will help guide you with my own expertise and the expertise of this great team at GBTA.

What you have in my candidacy is that advocate telling you that ‘you’ve got this, and you have my support’

I hope to earn your trust, but remember that there are some great candidates for your consideration.

I wish every success to my counter-parts and to all of the nominees for the GBTA Open roles.

Remember, you have a vote – please use it!

Finally, I hope I am your choice, but I will always be here for any of you who may want to seek my advice.

A Vision for Progress: Driving Innovation and Collaboration in Global Business Travel

With over two decades of experience in the dynamic field of travel management, I am honored to be a nominee for the Director at Large position on the GBTA Board of Directors. My career has been defined by a passion for innovation, collaboration, and delivering exceptional value to corporate travel programs, and I am eager to bring this same dedication to the service of GBTA and its members – In addition to the Committee work I have performed the last 7 years.

My Professional Journey
For 22 years, I proudly contributed to the success of BCD Travel, where I cultivated an in-depth understanding of the complexities of global travel management and payment. Through this tenure, I honed my expertise in strategic planning, analytics-driven decision-making, and fostering partnerships that prioritize traveler satisfaction while achieving organizational goals. Since 2023, I serve as the Global Travel Leader at TUI, where I oversee an €80 million travel program spanning multiple regions and business units including crew proceedings. This role has further broadened my perspective on the unique challenges and opportunities within the global travel landscape. By harmonizing diverse needs into a cohesive program and implementing sustainable, costeffective travel strategies, I’ve demonstrated how a well-managed travel program can become a valuable strategic asset.

My Vision for GBTA
As a candidate for the Director at Large position, my vision centers on two key priorities:

Driving Innovation
The travel industry is evolving rapidly, and embracing innovation is crucial for adapting to these changes. Often, these ideas and projects are stuck for years because the industry is not working together to “make it work for all involved parties” – a great example is NDC which is in the talks for 10+ years without a real success. Within TUI, we made it happen and implemented NDC connections
to 10+ airlines within a year for on- and offline bookings. That worked only because of the team spirit and the focus on “how can we do it quick”.

Strengthening Collaboration
GBTA thrives on the strength of its member network. I aim to foster greater collaboration across all stakeholders—buyers, suppliers, and industry partners—to ensure that the association remains a dynamic platform for sharing insights, shaping policies, and driving growth in the business travel sector for large and small customers, suppliers and markets.

Why Vote for Me?
I am European, travelled the world and worked partly from London and Singapore. My diverse experience with both a leading travel management company and a global buyer organization provides me with a unique perspective that blends operational expertise with a strategic outlook. I understand the challenges that travel professionals face, from cost containment to traveler safety and wellbeing, and I have a proven track record of delivering solutions that balance these essential priorities.

I approach every role with dedication, a collaborative spirit and have the solution in mind rather than focusing on all small issuer or why something might not work. As a member of the GBTA Board of Directors, I will leverage my skills, experiences, and network to ensure that the association continues to thrive as a vital resource and advocate for the global business travel community.

In Conclusion
I am deeply committed to advancing the mission of GBTA and to representing the interests of its members with energy and integrity. As a long standing member of the Global- and later the European Payment Solutions Committee, I am sure together, we can navigate the complexities of our industry, the geopolitical challenges, harness its opportunities, and set a course for a prosperous and sustainable future.

I respectfully ask for your vote as Director at Large on the GBTA Board of Directors 2025 election. Thank you for your trust, your support, and your shared commitment to the future of business travel.
