The megatrends impacting business travel and the industry’s response

The GBTA Conference 2021 – Berlin in Partnership with VDR saw the European business travel community reunited for the first time in over two years. During this time the way we live; work; travel and think about how we treat our planet and people has changed irreversibly, new trends have emerged creating new opportunities. Suzanne then welcomed on stage industry experts to delve into some of these themes and explore further how business travel will look in the coming years and how we as an industry are adapting to the new ways of working; meeting and being.

Ariel Cohen, CEO and Co-Founder, TripActions was first to the stage and discussed how digitalisation and self-serve has transformed the end-to-end travel and expense experience for business travellers. Khaled Shahbo, Senior Vice President Europe, Enterprise Holdings, shared insights on the future of mobility and the importance of partnerships for seamless, sustainable, and safe travel using shared assets. Meenaz Diamond, Senior Vice President Sales Worldwide, Accor discussed how the hotel sector are reacting to the changing work patterns and focus on sustainability.
