Why Business Travel Will Be Smarter Travel in 2025
(SOURCE: TRAVOLUTION, GUEST POST BY SUZANNE NEUFANG, GBTA CEO)

As we usher in a new year, the business travel industry stands at an exciting crossroads. With global spending forecast to hit a new high of $1.63 trillion USD in 2025 as published in a report of ours, the sector is poised for continued growth. Yet, navigating the road ahead will require balancing optimism with pragmatism. Rising travel costs, advancing technology, and evolving traveller expectations are reshaping the way we plan and execute corporate journeys.

GBTA Conference 2025 | Toronto
Perspectives After Tragedy

We’re thrilled to announce that Tyler Smith, a 21-year-old survivor of the 2018 Humboldt Broncos bus crash, will join us in Toronto for a moving and inspiring closing main stage session on Wednesday, April 30.

In the 2018 tragedy, Tyler lost 16 of his teammates, staff members, and coaches. After his physical recovery, he briefly returned to the Broncos but soon realized the importance of prioritizing his mental health. Tyler’s journey since has been one of resilience and advocacy.

Today, Tyler is passionate about sharing his story and creating awareness around mental health. He co-hosts the podcast Speak Your Mind with NHL veteran Riley Sheahan and has founded the mental health awareness clothing line Not Alone Co., which facilitates conversations about mental health while donating proceeds to charities across Canada.
