FAA Establishes New Aviation Safety Review Team

On Wednesday, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) established a new independent aviation safety review team. This team will allow the FAA to examine further ways to enhance safety and reliability in the air traffic system across the United States, and the news comes after several close incidents like FedEx and Southwest near miss in Austin last February and a safety summit where the FAA convened safety officials from across the aviation industry.

GBTA has released the April edition of the GBTA Europe Advocacy Newsletter designed to keep you up to date with what’s happening in relation to business travel in Brussels, and how GBTA is advocating on behalf of members and the industry.

This month, the newsletter includes an update on the recent GBTA Advocacy Outreach program in Brussels. On 27-29 March, a delegation of GBTA staff and European members gathered to advocate for the unique priorities of the business travel sector. They held multiple meetings with policymakers, trade associations, and subject matter experts over the course of three days.
