Check-In with Suzanne

Business Travel is All About Connection. With Purpose.

This week I return from what has been a whirlwind month of business travel – 7 countries in Europe and Asia, 17 airports and train stations and 30 meetings or conferences, engaging with hundreds of people in the process. I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the hospitality, support and partnership extended to the GBTA team and me throughout our travels in March.

It has been an incredibly productive few weeks but, more importantly, it provided us with cross-regional insights and connection with members, partners, stakeholders and policymakers that will help us better understand and act on behalf of our global industry.

One of our industry’s timely topics is the New Distribution Capability (NDC) and how implementation is bringing rapid change. We hope you’ve had a chance to tune into GBTA’s recent NDC-related podcast. It provides a view from expert buyer members of what NDC means for business travel and how they’re getting ready for it.

Additionally, in the GBTA Hub we have launched an Distribution/NDC Forum here to provide a place and platform for our members to engage, ask questions, share resources, and gain insights from each other. To help navigate what’s ahead, for a limited time GBTA is also making available to members and non-members these NDC-related materials:

Momentum also continues to build toward our line-up of GBTA flagship in-person events ahead. April 18th is the deadline for the next attendee registration price break for the August GBTA Convention in Dallas. In May, the GBTA Canada Conference returns to Toronto, and in June, the U.S. Legislative Summit and Global Sustainability Summit take place back-to-back in Washington, DC. Mark your calendars to attend – we can’t wait to connect!
