Business-Leisure Travel, Long-Stay Services Next Growth Opportunity for Hoteliers

Hotel owners and operators are investing in new facilities as they hope to take advantage of shifts in travel behaviour that are bringing new opportunities.

“As the boundaries between work, life, and travel become more blurred, traditional hotel brands and investors are urged to diversify their product offerings into non-traditional hotel verticals,” said real estate consultancy JLL. These include branded residential spaces, short-term rentals, co-living arrangements, private membership clubs and other niche markets.

GBTA Voices Support to U.S. Congress to Advance Travel Facilitation and Flight Education

GBTA continues to advocate for business travel, travelers and the industry. Recently, GBTA joined with like-minded travel industry and related groups as signatories on two letters sent to the U.S. Congress. The first letter here expresses GBTA’s support for additional funding for new U.S. Customs Border Protection (CBP) agents to help ease travel facilitation activities at ports-of-entry. The second letter here shows GBTA’s support of the bipartisan Flight Education Access Act focused on increasing federal student loan aid available for accredited flight education and pilot training programs.
