What Makes a Vibrant GBTA Convention and Industry Possible

Although a week has already passed, I’ve been replaying in my mind the days over 5,200 of us spent together and the inspiring sense of purpose and community at the GBTA Convention in Dallas. It’s truly a reflection of the vibrancy, dedication and connectedness of the global business travel industry.

There was so much to see, do, learn and experience at Convention 2023. But what was as clear as the blue skies in Texas is that our Convention would be nothing if it weren't for all of you. This year, that meant the remarkable presence of attendees from 58 countries − including almost 1,100 travel buyers and over 300 exhibiting and sponsoring companies (72 new!).

GBTA may have hosted the event, but its success was squarely due to our attendees and partners who also gave it their all. You volunteered, engaged, supported and connected. You were at the door for 8:30am education sessions and networked through midnight at partner receptions. You put in long hours and hard work, and it was your enthusiasm and energy that drove the event forward. We recognize – and are grateful – that the GBTA Convention thrives because of you. We’d also like to extend a very special thank you to our major industry supporters, whose backing truly enabled us to deliver an amazing Convention experience. Now we reset our countdown clock at GBTA until our next global convention-level gathering of the industry. Planning is already underway for GBTA Convention 2024, July 22-24, in Atlanta, Georgia. And based on your survey feedback, we've moved the 2 ½ day event to an official Monday start instead of Sunday.
