La GBTA salue les efforts bipartites pour adopter le projet de loi à long terme de la FAA
Alexandria, VA (April 27, 2018) – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) – the voice of the global business travel industry – applauds passage of H.R. 4, the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018.
Businesses send employees on 40 million business trips within the United States and around the world – most of which involve air travel. In fact, according to the most recent GBTA research, U.S. companies spent over $47.4 billion on air travel in 2016, comprising 18 percent of total travel spending.
“H.R. 4 provides needed long-term planning and execution with a five-year bill to reauthorize the programs of the Federal Aviation Administration,” said Michael W. McCormick, GBTA executive director and COO. “This continued investment in the nation’s air traffic system, U.S. airports and consumer protections are necessary to the long-term health of business travel and the economy.”
The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee led by Chairman Bill Shuster (R-PA) and Ranking Member Peter A. DeFazio should be commended for working through several challenging issues to produce this legislation.
GBTA urges the Senate to begin work on the bill and to pass a long-term FAA bill.
