Victims’ Rights Advocate John Walsh to Deliver Keynote at GBTA Convention 2018

Alexandrie, Virginie (July 23, 2018) – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), the voice of the global business travel industry, today announced John Walsh, victims’ rights advocate and host of the upcoming Discovery ID show, In Pursuit with John Walsh, as a featured speaker at the 50th anniversary of GBTA Convention, held August 11-15 in San Diego. Walsh’s keynote address will take place at Convention Arena on Wednesday, August 15. This session is made possible by American Airlines.

“We are very pleased to welcome John Walsh to the stage at GBTA Convention 2018,” said Christle Johnson, GBTA president. “John has long been an advocate for those with no voice, and his message will surely inspire attendees to be resilient in the face of adversity.”

A renowned victims’ rights advocate, John was a leading force behind the founding of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children before serving as host of the long-running television show America’s Most Wanted. Sadly, his dedication to the issue is rooted in the tragic 1981 abduction and murder of his six-year-old son, Adam. With a powerful message urging others to forge ahead despite setbacks, John inspires audiences to take steps to make the world a better place, and that every mission toward that goal is significant, no matter how great or small.
