Pick Up Remains Low but Appetite for Travel Is Returning
The latest edition of the Pulse Report, which tracks data for the month of January, shows that despite the ongoing worldwide COVID vaccine roll-outs, the majority of markets are continuing to feel serious effects of uncertainty amongst travelers. This is particularly true in Europe, where various lockdowns in several countries are having a continued impact on levels of booking activity. However, on a more positive note, some parts of APAC such as New Zealand, Australia and Oceania are seeing new bookings start to rise, and similarly in the Americas where pick up is finally increasing as travelers dare to think ahead to travel plans for later in the year.

Ready. Safe. Travel. Summit
Wednesday, February 17 | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM EST
GBTA’s Ready. Safe. Travel. (RST) advocacy campaign premiered in November 2020 as the Association’s effort to unite the global business travel industry and drive momentum toward a full recovery. The Ready.Safe.Travel. Summit’s purpose is to educate and prepare our membership and the industry for the evolution of business travel as a result of the on-going pandemic. As we head into 2021, much has changed and is continuing to impact our industry.
Many factors continue to challenge our industry and create more questions: government response to COVID, vaccine distribution, new variants, global entry policies and quarantine rules, etc. The RST Summit will ensure we address these relevant and timely issues and continue to move forward our industry.
Please Give Us Your Input – Take this Month’s GBTA Coronavirus Poll
Help GBTA monitor the impact of Coronavirus on the business travel industry. Please take 3-4 minutes to take GBTA’s monthly Coronavirus poll. We have removed some previous questions and added new questions concerning proposed government policies as they relate to testing, border closures and the return to travel.
