GBTA Surpasses 1,000 Buyers Registered for Convention
GBTA Expecting Record Number of Buyers at Convention 2015
Alexandria, VA (June 21, 2015) – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) – the voice of the global business travel industry – today announced more than 1,000 travel buyers have already registered for GBTA Convention 2015. GBTA expects record attendance numbers for Convention 2015 taking place July 25-29 in Orlando, Florida.
“Travel buyers control the pulse of their company’s travel program – they are responsible for getting travelers on the road so business can get done as well as making sure company dollars are invested wisely,” said Michael W. McCormick, GBTA executive director and COO. “GBTA Convention invigorates the business travel industry with new and improved programming each year connecting buyers and suppliers as it brings the industry together in one place.”
With more to come, GBTA has already announced a stellar line-up of speakers for this year’s event. Convention Arena will feature award winning film, television and stage actor, musician and philanthropist Kevin Bacon; Silicon Valley icon Steve Wozniak and FOX News Channel anchor Megyn Kelly. Panels focusing on hot topics and trends will cover topics like the future of the aviation industry and branding in a sharing economy.
GBTA expects more buyers than ever to experience GBTA Convention 2015 thanks to innovative new programming, top-notch education and networking opportunities you cannot find anywhere else as well as the introduction of the Corporate Travel Team Program. This new initiative provides unlimited complimentary buyer member registrations after five buyer members from the same company register at the standard rate allowing companies to share the Convention experience with their entire travel team.
The 2015 Convention theme, #Sharing, aptly describes today’s business travel environment. There is no other industry where face to face meetings and the concept of sharing is more prevalent than the business travel industry. At Convention, the industry will come together as nearly 7,000 industry professionals will share in a transformative experience. Held at the Orange County Convention Center, GBTA Convention 2015 will bring you world-class keynote speakers, more than 80 industry-leading education sessions, the largest business travel expo floor, a wide selection of professional development opportunities and much more providing attendees the opportunity to build their careers and get business done.
Attendee registration is open now. Register by June 1, 2015 to receive $100 in savings. Learn more about registering your organization for the Corporate Travel Team Program.
